NOOMA Series
|
NOOMA meets every Sunday morning throughout August during the Sunday School hour (9 a.m.) in Room 205. What is NOOMA you may ask? NOOMA short films are an attempt to provide spiritual inspiration and direction to our world. Through these poignant short films, NOOMA is taking the world by storm and changing the way that Christians live faithfully in the world.
NOOMA films provide messages that are powerful and relevant to our busy lives. Furthermore, NOOMA DVD's are filmed in an interesting fashion, making them an excellent tool even for young people who struggle with paying attention to sermons or other spoken messages. In a world that is filled with distractions, NOOMA films are a great way to refocus our lives on Christ. NOOMA, like parables, use the experiences of our lives to teach about the fullness of life through Jesus, tackling issues like forgiveness, discipleship, and unconditional love.

study of the Gospel of John. This Gospel, chosen consistently as the favorite Gospel, by those who are asked offers a unique perspective on the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. The class spends about 20 minutes each week viewing a portion of the American Bible Society video production “John's Gospel”. The video is a word-for-word translation (based on the Good News Bible.) We will walk WITH Jesus as He recruits the Twelve Disciples, sit on the hillside and listen as He teaches in Parables, watch as He performs miracles, and witness His confrontations with both the religious and civil authorities of His world. This class will resume on Sunday, September 20th. Contact the facilitator, Gloria Deaner at 824-1697 with questions.
